题霸大老远从广袤无垠的德州平原来看我们兄弟了, 兄弟相聚, 聊的甚是痛快, 还是那么的受益非浅! 具体的事情太多了, 去了LAGUNA BEACH, 取了德政那里, 去了DISNEYLAND, 吃了正宗的 KOREA TOFU 煲, 喝的余姐清粥, 我也头天烧了几个硬菜, 其实去了那里, 吃了什么,干了什么都是次要的, 兄弟来了干什么都是一个爽字!  最后希望题霸一路顺风, 到了COLUMBIA 一展鹏程!  另外欢迎兄弟姐妹们前来骚扰:)

美国本土最高峰, 有四千多米高. 第一次HIKING就整了一个这么TOUGH得, 是够自虐的. 我们头天没睡觉, 凌晨3,4点到海拔2000多米的地方开始登山, 一直到下午4点才下来, 一共走了12MILES. 大家基本都是不行了. 山路都是野的, 所以还是很险, 所幸路过了高山湖泊,草甸, 真的好美. 一路辛苦也是值得.

 

经验: 水一定带够, 一定要用HIKING POLE, 我花了80刀买了一对,还是很值的, 下来后我腿基本没事.

又去听了场音乐会, 上半场的小提琴独奏穿着红色的晚礼服,真是光芒似射. 中场休息时, 我就出去溜达溜达, 竟然碰到了演奏者Andria Chang, 上去答话并留影纪念.  另外值得称赞的是 中提琴首席是我们物理老师:)

 

Andria Chang was born in California, USA, in May of 1990. After arduous practice and training, she has achieved several milestones. At the age of eight, she was selected by the Young Musicians Foundation for inclusion in the background orchestration of the movie Music of the Heart, starring Meryl Streep, and directed by Wes Craven. In 2002 at only twelve years of age, Andria placed first in the John Walker Competition, playing Maurice Ravel’s Tzigane, and in that same year, participated in the Fourth Annual International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians, held in Xiamen, China. Since 1996, she has earned multiple awards in the Southwestern Youth Music Festival (SYMF) and was also awarded first prize in the 1998 California State Vocalist Orchestra Instruments Chamber Music Ensemble (VOCE), along with her former duet partner.

While attending her public high school, Andria found it difficult to devote her full attention to her violin studies, and felt a lack of excitement in her musical activities. In 2003, however, after being accepted as a student of Professor David Wen’s, Andria’s focus on the violin and the wonders of music intensified. She absorbed professor Wen’s instructions and has since made significant progress. On September 24^th, 2004, fourteen-year-old Andria performed Ravel’s Tzigane in Osaka, Japan, artfully accompaniment by Professor Tohru Kitano’s Percussion Orchestra, in a specially arranged setting of this work, by Professor David Loong-Hsing Wen. Also in 2004, Ms. Chang performed alongside several other outstanding musicians in Taipei’s National Grand Theater, in a special recital of professor Wen’s compositions, which included the Concertante: One Stone, Two Birds,  and Show of Women. On February 12^th, 2005, Andria was the featured soloist in Beethoven’s Violin Concerto, at the Sunny Hills Performing Arts Center, USA, with the Clap & Tap Orchestra, and in may that year, premiered David Wen’s revised edition of the Concerto for Violin and Piano, in Irvine, California.

Andria’s formal, solo recital debut, was presented on October 29^th, 2005, in Fullerton, California, in a program which included Cesar Franck’s Violin Sonata, Sergei Prokofiev’s Second Violin Concerto, and Ernest Chausson’s Poème, all to critical acclaim. More recent public appearances have included performances of Mozart’s Concerto No. 4, and Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, all with orchestra.

Upcoming performances include an Asian tour (Spring, 2007), with stops in Taipei, Tainan, and Zhongli, in Taiwan; Tokyo, Okinawa, and Osaka, in Japan, and in Hong Kong, China.

去LA 参加 TA TAPING,是即将播出的" THE NEXT BEST THING",录排真麻烦,待了将近6小时. 最FAINT的是, 前面的观众专挑美女, 不让我们坐!! 看来这世道帅哥不吃香啦.

买了辆车,1999 HONDA ACCORD EX, 91600miles, $6200+tax$500, 米色(介于银,黄之间).终于碰到一个不错的车主,都挺满意的, 最喜欢的是它的皮座和天窗,感觉很爽, 要来CALIFORNIA玩的朋友赶紧预约啊.

另外突然发现自己到美国买了好多鞋, 检讨下,要控制消费了.
